RESTAURANT:
Bolzano opened in 2009 by Hamish Hames to introduce a gutsy and distinctive brand of Italian cuisine to the Bellarine Peninsula. Bolzano's cuisine is based on authentic Italian enhanced by using the best and freshest local ingredients, surprising elements, and wherever possible our own organic and heirloom produce grown locally.
Our full menu changes regularly and includes hand-rolled pasta and home-made desserts, delicious chargrilled prime cuts, chops and seafood. Take-away offerings are numerous with thin based, artisan pizzas and our extensive pasta menu. Please ask our staff if you have any special dietary or other requirements.
The wine list is to the point, the point being no wasted space in our cellar, and an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. It is extremely well balanced, full of great boutique, imported and small release offerings.
Our dining area seats up to 60. We've designed our dining area to be comfortable, warm and romantic with views of the ocean. In addition we have a relaxed lounge and bar area where our customers enjoy a drink or a meal, and there is further outdoor seating along a long timber bench for warmer days with an outlook to the water.
Bolzano Restaurant and Lounge is located at the west end of Ocean Grove's main street (The Terrace) and overlooks the street and river from the front balcony, and from Barwon Head's Bluff and out to sea from the dining room. Reservations are highly recommended.
